Since the release of her debut album Première apparitions, Laurence-Anne made a name for herself on the Canadian alternative music scene as she earned a spot on the coveted Polaris Prize Long List and the number one spot on Montreal campus radio CISM’s roundup of Francophone albums of the year. The new darling of critics and college radios performed at all of Quebec’s big music festivals and even tested the waters in France (MaMA, Avec le Temps, Aurores Montréal) before returning home to record Accident, an EP with a touch of punk, indie-pop and tropical vibes, and her first release via Bonsound.
This astonishing, fertile sound exploration set the stage for the creation of her second full-length album Musivision, released in April 2021. This album took her across Quebec, along with the opportunity to perform in France at the Avec le temps festival and in the United States at SXSW and as the opening act for the Korean group Se So Neon (Brooklyn, Washington, Boston, New York and others).
Her next album, set to come out under Bonsound in the fall of 2023, will showcase the hushed, nocturnal sweetness of her musical universe.
