Our Little Secret: The 23andMe® Musical

Produced by Russell Citron

Pitch Presenters: Russell Citron and Noam Tomaschoff

From: July 31st 2024
to: August 26th 2024

What does a 31-year-old theatre kid do when a DNA test reveals that his biological parents aren’t quite who he thought they were? Write a musical, of course! In this hilarious, moving and completely true story, Noam Tomaschoff grapples with questions of family, identity and just how many brothers and sisters he really has. Blending comedy, drama and addictive music, Noam takes the audience on an unforgettable journey, ending with a message of optimism that will make you hold your family just a little bit tighter.

Highlights:

  • Winner: Patron’s Pick Award, Toronto Fringe 2023
  • Winner: Best of Fringe Award, Toronto Fringe 2023
  • After our premiere, 23andMe, Inc. flew us down to their HQ in San Francisco to perform the show for their entire staff; they loved it so much that they have come on board as an official sponsor of the show.
  • We have just signed to join the Segal Centre’s 2024/25 Season in Montreal from April to May 2025, in their main stage 300-seat theatre.
  • The show is built to tour, as it is a solo musical with a minimal set (and we will have a tourable set that we are building with Segal Centre).
